ABOUT MADE BY KATHRYN GREENE
Southern California artist Kathryn Greene works primarily in ice dyeing, a process that transforms melting ice and powdered dye into fluid, unpredictable patterns. Taught by her godmother, batik artist Kathryn Herrman, Greene continues a family tradition of textile art rooted in nature. Her pieces are inspired by the shifting colors of landscapes, the quiet beauty of gardens, and the cosmic wonder of galaxies—sometimes revealing geode-like forms that blur the line between earth and sky.
